PHOTOSHOP – Something Old and Something New


Photoshop has many new tools to help the photographer but did you know some of the old tools still work and are rarely used. We will explore the new and old tools to make you more effective in your work.

Professional Photographers need to have a good grasp on making their images pop to compete in today’s everchanging world. Being “Good Enough” is not enough to survive. With a large number of programs out there for editing photos, Adobe Photoshop is still the Gold Standard for professional photographers. Michael uses his humor to impart the information so you can learn the basics of this program and make your images come alive.

K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid is his philosophy in making Photoshop work for you and not you working for Photoshop.

Michael has over 50 print merits with PPA. In 2022 he placed 2nd in the ASP Print

Competition for the Nature/Landscape Category, Professional Photographers of California (PPC) “Animal Photographer of the Year”. He has a Bronze Medal, Silver Medal and Platinum Medal from PPA’s IPC.

He has served on the Professional Photographers of California’s Board of
Directors including President in 2008. He holds almost all of PPC’s awards and degrees
and has taught Photoshop at the prestigious weeklong West Coast School five times.
