Colson's presentation: Triple Your Average Sale and Improve Your Client's Lives for the Better
From Colson: Through continued coaching, mentoring, and training I have learned that the business of photography is NOT about the photos. People don't buy pretty photos. They don't buy light... they don't buy posing.... They don't buy editing. They just don't. People buy a photograph because of feelings and emotions that a photograph makes them feel. If one does not feel connected to a photograph... If one does not feel that it represents something that is important to them... they will never buy it.
Digital photography today is smattered with feeling-less photography. Photographers are encouraged to happy snap around town to create photos that may or may not connect with the person paying the bill. This method of "spray and pray" is not a sure way to build a business. What if you could discover what is most important to the people you are photographing? What if you could create ONE photo that totally reminded them of how much they cherish the ones that they love. How do you make something that would "mean the world" to your client, every. single. time. If you could make something that would mean the world to your client, how much would you expect them to pay? My guess is that its probably a higher amount than a few happy snapped digital files.

My knowledge about creating feeling focused artwork is not one obtained from self discovery. I have 100% learned it from the mentorship and teaching of a coach based out of Australia, named Steve Saporito, and I have every intention of sharing his teachings (with his approval!) to everyone in the photography industry that wants to make a difference in their client's lives and in their own life as well. His membership website is the best resource for photography business information I have ever found. If you are curious and want to take a look please visit:https://intuitiontosucceed.academy/lp/
