FROM JAK WONDERLY:
I am very excited about this one-day intensive dive into your photography. I truly believe this might be the most important course you can take to develop as a photographer. Join me and a small group of passionate photographers to work together to help you define a unique and signature style and create a portfolio born of your interests and personality.
It has been said that your portfolio is a self-portrait. When was the last time you stopped, stood back, and looked in the mirror? Is this who you want to be?
WHAT WE'LL ACCOMPLISH
•Review and assess your current photography. *This is not a critical review or a skill evaluation. We're not tearing your work apart, we're building it up!
•Become more articulate about your unique vision
•Identify exactly what kinds of images you want to create, and the techniques to get there
•Receive guidance on how to close the creative gap
•Create a blueprint to translate your vision into a portfolio that turns heads and/or lands photography gigs.
MORE ABOUT THE BOOTCAMP
Everyone is a "photographer" these days. How do you stand out from the crowd? A photographer without a clear vision is like a musician without a song. No matter how good your instrument or skills, without a song you are passionate about no one will be moved or entertained. Top photographers know their subjects intimately and can articulate exactly what they want to express through their photographs.
In this workshop we’ll work as a team to identify trends in your work, give voice to the statement you want to make with the images, and give you the tools to build a cohesive, powerful, and salable set of photographs.
WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?
Passionate photographers, whether they are an intermediate, advanced, aspiring pro, semi-pro, or professional. Simply put, anyone who knows how to use their camera and software, but is longing to define their unique style, have a more fulfilling experience as a photographer, and build a portfolio that will get attention, and if a pro, get you the work you desire.
REQUIREMENTS
There will be 2-4 hours of preparation required before we meet in person. Participants will also be asked to provide some small prints (5x7") of their work (which should cost $8-12 total). Laptops, tablets, etc are welcome, but no equipment is required. Bring a notebook, pen, and plenty of enthusiasm.
VENUE
We will meet in a comfortable space just north of downtown Sebastopol. Directions will be provided to those that sign up.
